- Undergoing Elbow Procedures: Temporary Absence for Elversberger and Le Joncour
Our midfield guard, Florian Le Joncour, from the second-division team SV Elversberg, suffered a serious elbow injury during their 4-0 victory against SV Darmstadt last Saturday. After more examinations, the club confirmed the news.
Le Joncour took a unfortunate tumble, thankfully without any fractures, but the injury is still severe. Initially, Sporting Director Ole Book suspected that all the ligaments in Le Joncour's elbow were ruptured.
"Everyone was shocked on Saturday," said Book. "Florian is crucial to our team, and we sincerely hope he recovers quickly, not just for our sake but also for his personal well-being." Soon, Le Joncour will undergo surgery.
The game was halted for 20 minutes due to the incident, leaving both teams stunned.
The medical team is arranging for Le Joncour's surgery in a renowned German hospital. Despite the setback, Germany's second-division teams are keeping a close eye on Le Joncour's progress.
