- Undergoing a transition, Podcaster Monchi, formerly known as Punksonger, is shifting roles.

Jan "Monchi" Gorkow (36), head of the punk band Feine Sahne Fischfilet, is introducing his own podcast. "I found the appeal in it: It allows for in-depth exploration, and you can also casually talk nonsense without any sentence being misconstrued," he stated. His podcast is titled "Every Day is a Burning Day". He aims to converse with individuals who share this sentiment, "those who burn and create, not just talk idly."

In the commencement stages, given the approaching regional elections in Saxony, Thuringia, and Brandenburg, he will showcase individuals "who remained in the East, living through its peaks and troughs", as per his announcement.

For the debut, Monchi engages in a chat with his brother-in-law, firefighter Markus, who resides in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with his family. He was initially a bricklayer in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, later serving in the German army - including stints in locations such as Afghanistan.

Monchi finds a perfect musical accompaniment for his conversations, often playing his favorite punk tunes during the podcast. His guests, like his brother-in-law Markus, appreciate the energetic rhythm of music as they delve into deep discussions.
