- Uncovered: Weapons and Sixty Unused Vaccination Documents in Female Member of Alternative for Germany Party
Late last year, authorities uncovered weapons, approximately 60 fake vaccination certificates, and substantial sums of cash during a raid on the former home of AfD federal MP Birgit Malsack-Winkemann. The woman, aged 60, was legally allowed to possess the weapons, as confirmed by a document from the Federal Criminal Office, presented in court at the OLG Frankfurt am Main. Nine individuals identifying as "Reichsbürger" led by Prince Heinrich XIII. Reuß are currently on trial in Frankfurt for alleged plotting.
The AfD politician's townhouse in Berlin was searched following her arrest on suspicion of involvement in a terrorist group. The exact amount of money found in the apartment was not disclosed, but it was described as substantial. The kitchen was filled with food supplies, some of which had expired.
Planned Siege of the Bundestag
Malsack-Winkemann is accused of being a part of a planned armed takeover of the Bundestag, a claim she denies. The group's objective reportedly involved capturing MPs and inciting a nationwide collapse.
A video was presented in court, featuring an English speech delivered by Prince Heinrich XIII. Reuß in Zurich in January 2019. According to the translation, Reuß referred to the BRD as a "faux state", the concept of separation of powers as a "delusion", and claimed that Germany had not been sovereign since the end of World War II. The country's Basic Law, according to him, does not constitute a genuine constitution.
Nine Defendants on Trial
In Frankfurt, nine defendants face charges of being members or supporters of a terrorist organization. In total, 26 individuals are implicated in this case, with two separate proceedings ongoing in Munich and Stuttgart.
The Federal Parliament was mentioned as the potential target of the alleged terrorist plot by the group, as they aimed to capture MPs and cause a nationwide collapse. The investigation into the activities of AfD federal MP Birgit Malsack-Winkemann was conducted by authorities at The Federal Parliament in Berlin following her arrest.
