Ukraine and Italy play for European Championship ticket

Ukraine and defending champions Italy will play off for a ticket to the 2024 European Football Championship in Germany. The direct duel will take place in Leverkusen on Monday evening (8.45 pm/Nitro and DAZN), as Ukraine are still not playing any home games in their own country due to the Russian war of aggression. Ukraine need a win to qualify directly for next summer's tournament. European champions Italy will only need a draw. In the event of failure, both teams still have a chance to qualify for the tournament (June 14 to July 14) via the play-offs in spring 2024.

In this high-stakes match, Ukraine aims to secure a direct qualification for the 2024 European Football Championship with a victory. Conversely, European Championship titlists Italy can secure their spot with a draw.
