Uchino from Düsseldorf moves to Dubai

The Japanese player hopes for more playing time in Dubai. He has sad memories of his last match for Fortuna.

- Uchino from Düsseldorf moves to Dubai

Fortuna Düsseldorf's right-back Takashi Uchino leaves the club and joins Al-Wasl SC in Dubai. The second-division football club announced this. The details of the departure were not disclosed. In Dubai, the 23-year-old has signed a contract until June 30, 2027.

The Japanese youth international played for Fortuna since 2021, initially in the regional team, later in the second division. In the promotion-relegation playoff return leg against VfL Bochum in May, Uchino missed the crucial penalty. As a result, Düsseldorf missed out on promotion to the Bundesliga.

Uchino's departure from Fortuna Düsseldorf marks the end of his Soccer journey in Germany, as he joins Al-Wasl SC in Dubai. Following his time with the second-division club, Uchino will continue to showcase his Soccer skills in the United Arab Emirates.
