Association football news update. - U21 international, Wagner, joins FC St. Pauli.

FC St. Pauli, promoted to the Bundesliga, has acquired German U21 player Robert Wagner from SC Freiburg. The Hamburg club made the announcement on Thursday. Robert is expected to fill the void left by Marcel Hartel, whose destination is unknown, and Aljoscha Kemlein, who is returning to Union Berlin in the central midfield.

The youngster, 20 years old, spent last season on loan with 2nd division team SpVgg Greuther Fürth. Wagner expressed his excitement about joining St. Pauli, stating "This is an amazing chance for me to grow as a player at a club with an ambitious plan, which suits me perfectly."
