Soccer - U17 juniors will be welcomed in Frankfurt on Monday

Even before the World Cup final, the German U17 footballers are sure to receive an award. Coach Christian Wück's national team will be welcomed to Frankfurt am Main next Monday. This applies both in the event of success and in the event of defeat in the final on Saturday (13:00 live/RTL and skysport.de as well as SkySport app) against France, as the DFB announced on Friday. The reception is planned at the DFB Campus in Frankfurt's Niederrad district and is scheduled to begin at 9.00 am.

In the rematch for the European Championship final, in which the German team won the title on June 2 in Budapest with a 5:4 penalty shootout, the eagerly awaited showdown between France and Germany will take place in Surakarta. It will be the first World Cup final for the German junior team in 38 years.

"It's an indescribable experience for us to be able to play our second final in five months, the second time against France. I didn't expect two European teams to win here in Indonesia. But it shows the quality we have in Europe. It will be a high-level final with a very close result," said Wück.
