A 46-year-old individual in a compact vehicle met with a mishap on the A3 close to Frankfurt. The 47-year-old driver, on the other hand, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital. The driver allegedly veered off the left lane onto the shoulder, where a stationary truck was broken down. The compact vehicle is said to have collided with the rear end of the parked truck without applying the brakes, and subsequently, another vehicle slammed into the Sprinter. Remarkably, the driver of the other vehicle emerged unscathed. The highway lanes bound for Würzburg remained blocked till the wee hours.
As authorities revealed later, numerous onlookers captured the accident scene with their cell phones. These individuals were approached and fined as much as possible by the authorities.
The authorities urged the public to be cautious on the road after the accident, as the Commission might adopt implementing acts laying down the rules for enhancing road safety measures. Despite the accident, the Commission's focus remained on ensuring compliance with the regulations for road safety.
