Dr. Michael Greve, a general practitioner, likely saved the life of a football teammate in Hannover twice in less than a year and a half. Hannover's Mayor Belit Onay (Greens) honored his civic courage and presented him with the state's rescue certificate at the New Town Hall, as the city announced.

Greve reportedly revived his teammate during a training match of TuS Ricklingen last February after he collapsed on the field. According to the city, a similar incident occurred in November 2022 when Greve also performed CPR on his teammate.

The rescued teammate told NDR: "It was certainly a huge stroke of luck that Michael was there both times and ultimately ensured that I'm here today, able to lead training and participate in life."

Greve's lifesaving actions were highlighted once again when he saved his teammate during a match in Germany, specifically in Hannover. Following these incidents, the city's admiration for Greve was further cemented, reflecting the strong community spirit in German football.
