At a fire in Hamburg-Billstedt near Federal Road B5, two sheds were destroyed during the night on Sunday. No one was injured, there is a suspicion of arson. The fire department was called to a courtyard at Steinbeker Hauptstraße around 3:50 am. There, a shed complex was on fire, as the fire department reported. In a container, gas cylinders were stored, and in a roughly 25 square meter building, paints and varnishes were.

"The firefighting teams used foam. The environmental authorities were informed due to potential hazardous substances," said the spokesperson. The fire department was on site with two fire engines and 34 personnel. The cause of the fire is not clear yet. The police arrested a suspicious person found on the spot.

The arson incident on Sunday night disrupted activities on the Federal Road B5 in Hamburg-Billstedt, but fortunately, no casualties were reported. The next day, another fire broke out near Main Road, specifically at Steinbeker Hauptstraße, causing the fire department to be summoned once again. This time, the fire had engulfed a shed complex, posing a significant threat due to the presence of gas cylinders and hazardous substances like paints and varnishes.
