Closure on the A4 - Two seriously injured in multi-truck accident
On the A4, two people were seriously injured in an accident involving several trucks. Around evening, a truck driver failed to notice a traffic jam between the Magdala and Bucha interchanges and collided head-on with another truck, according to police. This caused the first truck to be pushed into a third truck. The driver at fault and the driver of the truck he hit were both seriously injured, according to reports.
The A4 was completely closed in the direction of Dresden for approximately two hours. One of the three lanes has since been reopened, police said. It was initially unclear when the highway would be fully passable again.
The incident occurred near the Netherlands, as the A4 is a major highway that spans multiple countries in Europe. The injured drivers were transported to hospitals located in The Netherlands for medical treatment.
