Two people injured in fire in residential building
Two people have been slightly injured in a fire in a residential building in the Upper Palatinate. According to a police spokesperson, both halves of a semi-detached house in Mintraching (Regensburg district) caught fire in the night from Wednesday to Thursday for as yet unexplained reasons.
According to the information, a resident had noticed the smell of smoke and alerted the fire department. When the firefighters arrived, the roof truss of one of the semi-detached houses and a mobile home in front of the building were already fully engulfed in flames. The fire also spread to the other half of the house.
The residents were able to rescue themselves from the building, two of them were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The fire department extinguished the fire. The amount of damage is still unclear, according to reports.
