Rhine-Sieg district - Two minor injuries in accidents caused by snow
Two women were slightly injured in two accidents caused by snow and slippery roads in the Rhein-Sieg district on Sunday evening. According to police reports on Monday night, a 60-year-old woman's car overturned near Niederkassel, presumably due to her speed not being adapted to the weather conditions. The car came to rest on its roof next to the road. The driver sustained minor injuries in the accident and was taken to hospital.
A short time later, another accident occurred near Lohmar due to the snow. A 28-year-old woman collided with the blade of an oncoming snow clearing vehicle on the Landesstraße 288. According to a police spokesperson, the woman stated that she had slipped slightly before the collision due to the road conditions. The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The 41-year-old driver of the snow clearing vehicle was uninjured.
