Traffic - Two millionth Porsche "made in Leipzig" rolled off the production line
The two millionth Porsche manufactured in Leipzig has rolled off the production line at the Porsche plant. The 680 hp golden saloon was built for a customer in Dubai, the company announced on Monday. All new vehicles are manufactured at the Leipzig plant. In total, the workforce there reportedly numbers more than 4,400 employees.
In the past, the plant, which opened in 2002, was also converted to produce electric cars and axles. In future, three drive types - combustion, electric and hybrid - are to be manufactured on one line. The first all-electric Macan model is due to be delivered to a customer next year. A total of 550 vehicles are currently produced at the Leipzig plant during daily production.

The company plans to manufacture three different drive types – combustion, electric, and hybrid – on a single line in the future at the Leipzig plant. Due to this innovation, the future of vehicle production in Saxony seems promising. The announcement of this development has sparked interest in both local and international automotive industries. The growth of the company in Dubai, with its expanding fleet of Porsche vehicles, is another testament to the global demand for high-performance vehicles like the one rolled off the line in Leipzig.
