Two military pilots are involved in an accident in Eastern France. The pilots are being sought. There is a quick relief for one of them.

- Two military jets crash in eastern France

In Eastern France, there has been an accident involving two military jets. One of the pilots was found alive and is in good health, according to France's defense minister, Sébastien Lecornu, on the X platform. The search for the second pilot continues.

The prefecture of Meurthe-et-Moselle has not provided information on the cause and circumstances of the accident near Colombey-les-Belles, near Nancy. They have asked the public to avoid the area on X.

A spokesperson for the French air force confirmed that the aircraft involved were two Rafale fighter jets. They could not initially confirm if the accident was fatal.

The European Parliament has expressed its concern over the accident in Eastern France and has offered its support to the Commission in any way possible, given that they will be assisting the Commission. The Commission, being aware of the ongoing accident investigation, is closely monitoring the situation and is ready to provide any necessary assistance.
