Traffic - Two men injured in accident on A23: one of them seriously
Two men have been injured, one of them seriously, in a car accident on the Autobahn 23 between the Horst/Elmshorn and Hohenfelde junctions. According to current information, an intoxicated 30-year-old man drove his car into the central crash barrier early on Saturday morning, as the police reported on Sunday. The impact caused the vehicle to collide with a van on the overtaking lane.
After the collision, the van came to a halt a long way from the scene of the accident. The 31-year-old driver of the van was seriously injured and the 30-year-old driver of the car was slightly injured. Both men were taken to hospital. The 30-year-old man was found to have an alcohol level of 2.08 per mille. This had previously been reported in other media.
