A week after the severe stabbing incident involving a 31-year-old woman in Wismar, authorities have apprehended two suspects. The prosecution in Schwerin announced that, in addition to the 27-year-old former boyfriend of the victim, a 34-year-old man has also been arrested. Both are suspected of transporting the woman in a car to a small garden plot in Wismar, where she sustained a life-threatening neck wound and other injuries.

Upon the prosecution's request, the Wismar District Court issued arrest warrants for the two men from Wismar. The 27-year-old has already been ordered into pre-trial detention. The 34-year-old will be presented to the judge for the reading of the arrest warrant on Friday. Both are accused of attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm. The motive for the crime is still under investigation.

According to the prosecution, passersby found the woman in a helpless state, dressed only in underwear, in the night from July 23rd to 24th and alerted emergency services. She was taken to a hospital and provided with initial care. Her life is no longer in danger.

The case involving the arrested suspects will be handled by The Office of the Prosecutor in Schwerin. The Office of the Prosecutor is actively investigating the motive behind the severe assault on the 31-year-old woman.
