A conjunction of a joint attempted murder and a severe robbery has prompted the Berlin prosecutor to ask for arrest warrants, as disclosed by the police. The two suspects, along with the victim, are believed to be of Portuguese nationality, as per the police. Reports suggest that they first met at a gathering place within the Lichtenberg Portuguese community. The victim was allegedly stabbed after being accosted in his apartment, where he often kept significant sums of money. The assailants then escaped with stolen cash, according to the police, in the thousands of euros.
