Two motorists sustained severe injuries in a head-on crash in the Trier-Saarburg district. On Sunday night, a 25-year-old's speeding car veered into oncoming traffic on federal highway 422, between Kordel and Trier-Ehrang, as stated by the authorities. This resulted in a collision with a car driven by a 50-year-old, pinning both men within their vehicles. Firefighters had to extract the critically injured duo.
The authorities announced that the following is added to the accident report: Speeding was a contributing factor in the collision. Following the extraction of the injured motorists, they were both transported to the hospital for further treatment and care.
