In Switzerland, a fiery blast in the basement garage of a building claimed the lives of two individuals. They were identified within the garage, and eleven others suffered minor injuries. Canton Aargau's police department disclosed this disturbing news on a Friday. The probable reason for the explosions, which took place in a residential building at Nussbaumen on Thursday evening, remains undiscovered, a police spokesperson told the German Press Agency.

Upon the arrival of law enforcement, the fire department, and rescuers, a fire had spread across multiple floors. Over a hundred residents of six adjoining high-rise buildings, connected to the basement garage, were swiftly evacuated to a secure location. According to the police, "chaos" reigned supreme, and the building and parked cars in the garage suffered "enormous" damage. Some areas were at risk of collapsing. The fire was finally extinguished during the night hours.

Throughout the firefighting operation, three helicopters were also utilized. These aerial vehicles encountered hindrances from drones, compelling the police to request that the small flying machinery be taken to the ground promptly.
