After a house fire in Bad Wünnenberg (Paderborn district), emergency services have discovered two dead bodies. They were the two residents of the house, a 73-year-old woman and a man aged 65, police said on Saturday. The cause of death was initially unclear. According to initial findings, however, there were no indications of violence. "The reason for the fire could be a technical defect or negligent arson," it said.

The care service noticed the fire on Saturday morning and alerted the fire department. The fire brigade then found the lifeless 73-year-old woman in the living room and the 65-year-old man, who was also lifeless, in the bedroom, the police explained.
