- Two criminal proceedings for alleged premeditated homicide occur in Flensburg.
At the Flensburg Regional Court, two hearings for alleged homicide attempts will take place on Wednesday. The first trial starts at 9:15 AM, with a 26-year-old standoff against the initial Grand Criminal Chamber. He's been charged with attempting to slay his ex-lover on September 4, 2023, in Schleswig, following a reported separation due to violent outbursts the day prior. Distraught by the split, it's alleged he tried to end her life with stab wounds. The woman suffered injuries on her abdomen and head, but law enforcement were able to save her by separating them.
At 2:00 PM, the same courtroom will host another trial for attempted homicide. This time, our 26-year-old subject faces charges of severe arson. On February 28, 2024, around 6:00 AM, he is accused of pouring gasoline through the door and mail slot of a Schleswig apartment and igniting it. Two occupants were believed to be within the affected property. The defendant is said to have threatened a witness and aimed to coerce a retraction of their statement against him in the ongoing investigation. The 26-year-old is suspected of understanding and accepting the risk that the witnesses may perish from the fire or harmful fumes.
The judge at the Flensburg Regional Court announced that the following shall be added to the defendant's charges: intimidating a witness in relation to the arson case. In a bid to manipulate the ongoing investigation, the defendant allegedly threatened a witness and sought to coerce a retraction of their damning statement regarding the arson attempt.
