Urgency Situations - Deadly Blast in Switzerland Claims Two Lives and Injures Eleven
In a potential fireworks incident in a Swiss underground garage, two individuals have sadly passed away. A 43-year-old and a 24-year-old were discovered deceased within the garage of a tall apartment building. Moreover, there are eleven people with minor injuries. The day after this incident in a housing complex in Nussbaumen, it came to light that powerful fireworks had been handled in the garage, as announced by the Canton of Aargau police on Friday. This is presumed to have caused a massive explosion.
Authorities, firefighters, and rescue teams arrived at the scene on Thursday evening and quickly noticed a fire spreading across multiple floors. As a result, over 100 people from six high-rises linked to the underground garage were evacuated safely. "There is a lot of disorder and severe damage to the object and the vehicles parked in the garage," the police detailed. Certain areas are now at risk of collapse. The fire was put out in the evening. Three helicopters were employed to control the flames. Due to the drones hampering their flight, the police asked people to immediately return these small flying devices to the ground.
