Traffic accidents - Two accidents with injuries on the A1 - traffic jam during rush hour
A total of three people were injured in two traffic accidents on the Autobahn 1 in Hamburg on Friday morning. According to the police, they were taken to hospital with minor injuries. Traffic jams were to be expected at the Öjendorf junction in the southbound direction due to the rescue and clean-up work during the early rush hour. Cars were diverted from the Billstedt junction.
According to initial findings, at least three vehicles were involved in each of the two accidents. According to the police, in the first accident, three cars collided while changing lanes and then came to rest in the central crash barrier. One man was slightly trapped and injured.
In the second accident, which occurred around an hour and a half later, two people were slightly injured. The police were initially unable to provide any further details about the course of the accident or the cause.

The first traffic accident occurred near the Billstedt connection point, causing a disruption in the commuter traffic. The second accident, involving two vehicles, resulted in slight injuries and occurred around an hour and a half later in the same area, adding to the existing traffic accidents and jams. Despite the accidents, some cars were diverted via the Billstedt junction to bypass the congestion. The police are still investigating the cause of the second accident. These incidents resulted in delays and inconvenience for many commuters on the Autobahn 1 in Hamburg.
