Turkey fans celebrate victory with motorcade and flags in Berlin

The fans of the Turkish national soccer team celebrated their 3:2 victory over Germany in Berlin on Saturday evening. After the game in the Olympic Stadium, many of them drove around Kurfürstendamm in a motorcade. Many waved Turkish flags and marched through the streets cheering. According to a police spokeswoman, the celebrations went off without any major incidents. She was unable to say how many people were celebrating on the streets early on Sunday morning.

Earlier, tens of thousands of Turkish fans and fans of Turkish origin had already created a great atmosphere in the Olympic Stadium, which was sold out with 72,592 spectators. The test match between Germany and Turkey was the first home game for the German national soccer team under new national coach Julian Nagelsmann.

The triumphant Turkish national team, having secured a 3:2 victory against Germany, was backed by passionate DFB fans who joined the celebrations. Later, these enthusiastic supporters continued their jubilant displays with a motorcade down Kurfürstendamm, waveing Turkish flags and cheering loudly.
