Bundesliga - Tuchel sees "no limit" to Neuer's goalkeeping career

After Manuel Neuer 's successful comeback at FC Bayern Munich, coach Thomas Tuchel sees no career limits for the goalkeeper. "There's no limit for Manu as long as he feels as good and keeps going as well as he is right now," said Tuchel ahead of the Bundesliga home game against Union Berlin on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky). It will be Neuer's eighth appearance after an eleven-month break following his serious leg fracture a year ago.

This week, the 2014 world champion extended his contract with FC Bayern by one year until June 30, 2025. The international goalkeeper would then be 39 years old. "I want to play for as long as I enjoy it," Neuer announced. The long-time number 1 also wants to return to the national team next year and be in the DFB goal at the home European Championships in the summer.

"He's in top form. We're not putting a limit on that. Manu can stay in goal for as long as he wants," said Tuchel on the situation at the club. "It's very impressive at the moment," said the Bayern coach about Neuer's performance. "The mix between his relaxed attitude and his professionalism is in perfect harmony."

Tuchel believes that Neuer will continue to improve his performance with every game: "He's already at a high level and will probably get a little better in every game."
