Football-Bundesliga - TSG Hoffenheim parts ways with Sportchef Rosen
Football Bundesligist TSG 1899 Hoffenheim is leading a change in the management team a few weeks before the season start and has separated from Sportchef Alexander Rosen with immediate effect. The shareholders of the football business GmbH have therefore "unanimously decided", as stated in a communication, to recall Rosen from his position.
The reason given was the planning of the future. "Our views on the future direction were ultimately too different, even with regard to the upcoming season, in which the TSG will again play internationally and participate in the Europa League", said Engelhardt.
"Heavy decision"
"Alexander Rosen has left an era at TSG Hoffenheim. We thank him for his commitment and the developments that he has initiated and taken responsibility for at TSG. That's why we struggled with this heavy decision for a long time", added Engelhardt. The 45-year-old Rosen, who has been employed by the Bundesligist from the Kraichgau since 2011, was not quoted in the communication.
Dennis Strich, who as CEO is responsible for communication and sales, is also leaving the club. He has asked the shareholders for the termination of his contract on October 31 of this year, it was stated. Jan Mayer is also giving up his position in the management team. He is said to focus more on the work at TSG ResearchLab in the future.
