Truck with hazardous goods overturned: A94 closed
A truck carrying hazardous goods has overturned on the highway 94. The driver was injured in the accident on Thursday afternoon between the Pastetten and Lengdorf junctions (both in the district of Erding), said a police spokesman. The spokesman was initially unable to comment on the severity of the injuries. The highway was initially closed in both directions. The police spoke of extensive rescue and recovery work on site.
The police spokesman did not say whether dangerous goods were actually leaking and what they were. It was also initially unclear how the accident occurred.
The closure of the A94 due to the truck accident has led to significant traffic disruption in Upper Bavaria. Despite the injuries sustained by the driver, no further traffic-related accidents have been reported in the area so far.
