Truck overturns on A8: 100,000 euros damage
A truck loaded with crates of drinks and empty bottles overturned on the Autobahn 8 in the district of Günzburg. This resulted in damage of around 100,000 euros. The 37-year-old driver had poorly secured the load, which is why the articulated truck overturned on Tuesday, according to the police. The empties then scattered across the road near Jettingen-Scheppach. According to the fire department, it included crates of beer with empty bottles. The closure of the A8 in the direction of Munich continued in the early afternoon, according to the police. The slightly injured 37-year-old now faces a fine.
The accident on the A8’s Günzburg district caused traffic disruptions, as the closure continued into the afternoon. Despite the traffic chaos, similar incidents could occur due to inadequately secured loads, as evident in Swabia's recent event.
