Accident - Truck driver drives into end of traffic jam and dies
A 58-year-old truck driver has died after crashing his truck into an articulated lorry stuck in a traffic jam on the A3 without braking. According to the police, the enormous force of the impact caused several trucks to be pushed into each other in the accident on Monday. Two other people involved in the accident were slightly injured. The accident occurred near the Rosenhof junction. The road in the direction of Nuremberg remained closed for several hours afterwards. According to the police, the five vehicles involved sustained damage of around 600,000 euros. Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
