Traffic - Truck driver critically injured in accident
A 48-year-old truck driver was seriously injured in an accident on Bundesstraße 207 on Thursday. He lost control of his 7.5-tonner truck shortly after a right turn in the woods near Fredeburg and collided with a tree, according to the police. The driver was trapped in his cab. The cause of the accident was initially unknown. At the request of the prosecutor's office, a blood sample was taken and the truck was secured. The initial damage assessment was approximately 20,000 Euro, the police reported.
