Truck crashes into bridge: 55,000 euros damage
A truck with an overheight load crashed into a bridge in Flieden, causing damage of around 55,000 euros. The tar machine loaded on the truck got stuck under a bridge on Friday, according to the police. The 54-year-old driver had forgotten to lower the conveyor belt of the machine before driving off. The tar machine was reportedly badly damaged, but only minor damage was caused to the bridge. The driver remained uninjured.
In EAST HESSIA, the incident with the truck and the bridge in Flieden has led to discussions about traffic safety. Despite the 55,000 euros in damage, it could have been much worse if there had been more traffic at the time of the accidents.
