Traffic - Truck accident on the A24: Two injured
At a collision between two heavy goods vehicles on the A24 towards Berlin, two people have been injured. A heavy goods vehicle convoy drove into a heavy goods vehicle with a trailer, which was deployed for bridge inspection, according to the police. This Lkw was pushed sideways onto the road by the impact. The rear heavy goods vehicle convoy came off the road.
The driver of the vehicle and a 50-year-old woman involved in the bridge inspection were injured in the accident. Damages amounted to approximately 250,000 Euro. As a result, the autobahn in the direction of Berlin was fully closed. The full closure was lifted only on Thursday afternoon.

- Following the collision, traffic in Rostock was significantly affected due to the police redirecting vehicles away from the site of the accident.
- A subsequent investigation revealed that the heavy goods vehicle convoy was traveling in the wrong direction of travel on the autobahn, leading to the rear-end collision.
- After clearing the debris and assessing the damage, the police allowed traffic to resume in the direction of Berlin on Thursday afternoon.
