Trimmel and Khedira back in team practice

The two veterans were missing recently. Now they are back on board. Just in time for Saturday's cup match.

- Trimmel and Khedira back in team practice

Captain Christopher Trimmel and his deputies, Rani Khedira, have resumed full team training with 1. FC Union Berlin. The two veterans of the Iron Ones had been absent from the recent friendly matches against Olympique Lyon (0:4) and Real Sociedad (1:1), under coach Bo Svensson. They were, however, present at the public training session preparing for the upcoming cup match against Greifswalder FC on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Josip Juranovic and Janik Haberer were unable to participate in the team training. Defender Juranovic had also missed the game against San Sebastián. The club has yet to comment on the reasons for his absence and will do so in the coming days. Midfielder Haberer had to be substituted in the 56th minute during the mandatory match warm-up and subsequently completed laps on a nearby pitch at the training center.

Despite Josip Juranovic and Janik Haberer's absences, the focus remains on Captain Christopher Trimmel and Rani Khedira as they gear up for the German Bundesliga season with 1. FC Union Berlin. Their return to full team training is a significant boost for the Iron Ones ahead of crucial Bundesliga matches.
