World Championship - Triathlon: World Championship mixed relay in Hamburg again in 2024

Hamburg will host the Triathlon World Championships in the mixed relay, as it will in 2023. The title will be awarded as part of the World Triathlon Championship Series (July 13/14). This was announced by the German Triathlon Union (DTU) on Tuesday. The board of the world federation had voted in favor of the Hanseatic city as the World Championship venue at the weekend. This year, the German quartet of Tim Hellwig, Annika Koch, Simon Henseleit and Laura Lindemann triumphed at the World Championships around the Alster. The world's best mixed relay teams had previously competed in Hamburg from 2013 to 2020.

The competition is now an Olympic event. In Paris 2024 (26 July to 11 August), the competition will be part of the program for the second time. Next year's World Championships will be the last opportunity to see where the team stands before the Olympics.
