Kassel is the destination. - Trial persists for 14-year-old girl fatally injured in Bad Emstal

On Monday, the trial of a 21-year-old man accused of killing a 14-year-old girl in Bad Emstal, northern Hesse, carried on. According to a forensic expert, the girl had been choked for more than two minutes, which left a significant impact. This squeezing wasn't something that would be considered a quick action, lasting only 30 to 60 seconds, but rather lasting longer.

At the beginning of the case last week, the defendant admitted to choking the schoolgirl until she lost consciousness during an argument. Afterward, he stripped her partially and made videos and photos of her. However, he claimed he didn't mean to kill her. His intentions were to blackmail her using these recordings when she woke up.

Six months prior to this incident, he alleged that he had been abducted by someone and held captive for three days, enduring sexual abuse. After he managed to escape, he intended to kill the man involved in this crime. His female acquaintance had knowledge of these plans, and she threatened to report them to the police. To avoid this, he used the recordings he had made.

The man the defendant accused of his abduction denied these claims on Monday. He met the 21-year-old at a bar and they drank alcohol together. They then went to his residence where they got close but didn't engage in any sexual activity. He denied ever applying pressure or coercion. A police report submitted to the court stated that the analysis of defendant's mobile phone data did not show any evidence of an abduction. And the defendant had not notified the authorities about the alleged crime as he claimed.

The prosecution alleges that the German citizen committed a sexual offense by abusing his 14-year-old acquaintance to satisfy his desires. They also accuse him of a separate offense, that of disrupting the peace of the dead. The defendant is thought to have touched and recorded the girl's body for sexual gratification after her death. The girl's body was discovered on a path in Bad Emstal on September 28 of the previous year, and she had been missing since the night before.

The court had initially arranged another hearing for this Wednesday. However, a verdict might already be reached at this hearing.
