The trial for the fatal shooting outside a restaurant in Nuremberg begins on Wednesday (9.00 a.m.) under special security precautions. A 29-year-old man from Turkey is on trial for murder and attempted murder. The public prosecutor's office accuses him of shooting two friends several times on a street in Nuremberg's Südstadt district last October. They were seriously injured and taken to hospital, where one of them died on the same day. The district court in Nuremberg has scheduled a total of 29 trial days until March.
