Accident on a country road - Tree trunks fall from truck - driver seriously injured
Falling tree trunks of a truck have trapped and seriously injured a driver in the Ravensburg circle. The trailer of the forest hauler is said to have overturned on a country road between Baienfurt and Bergatreute, according to a police spokesperson. The oncoming car was hit by the tree trunks. The 17-year-old driver had to be rescued by the fire department and taken to a hospital afterwards.
Preliminary findings indicate that the trailer of the truck was briefly off the road in a long curve and got into a skid. The 27-year-old truck driver remained unharmed. The young driver was reportedly driving according to the rules as a tourist with a foreign driver's license.
The accident involving the forest hauler resulted in multiple tree trunks obstructing the country road, increasing the risk of traffic accidents in the area. Unfortunately, another car got involved in this chain of events, suffering damage from the fallen tree trunks. The incident occurred near Ravensburg, in the Baden-Württemberg region, where such accidents have been relatively common.
