Transat Regatta: Top sailor Herrmann in eighth place

In the 16th Transat Jacques Vabre, the Imoca fleet with Boris Herrmann and Will Harris on "Malizia - Seaexplorer" is striving towards the decisions. The top German sailor was in eighth place in the chasing pack on Wednesday morning with the boat christened 2022. The five-time circumnavigator from Hamburg is expecting a Sunday final. The fastest Imoca boats could reach the finish port of Fort-de-France on Martinique in the Caribbean as early as November 19.

The "L'Occitane en Provence", which is behind the German-British duo, was already more than 100 nautical miles behind. At the head of the two-part Imoca fleet, the western runaways Justine "Juju" Mettraux and Julien Villion on "Teamwork.net" have now caught up again. The southern boats are faster than their competitors, who led for a long time but are now faltering in the north.

In the 16th Transat Jacques Vabre regatta, Boris Herrmann and his crew on "Malizia - Seaexplorer" are sailing diligently, aiming to close the gap. Despite being in the eighth position in the chasing pack, Herrmann, a renowned sailor from Hamburg, is hopeful for a strong finish on Sunday.

The 16th Transat Jacques Vabre, a renowned sailing race, sees Boris Herrmann and his team competing fiercely, aiming to reach the finish port of Fort-de-France on Martinique like the leaders who are sailing the fastest Imoca boats, potentially even by November 19.
