On a Wednesday evening, a biker endured severe injuries after being hit by a tram in Zwickau. Emergency responders administered CPR to the man right at the scene, situated on the Outer Schneeberger Street, as per the police statement.

The 46-year-old tram conducter was reportedly moving the tram through the junction with Breithaupt Street late at night, with the traffic lights indicating green. The bicyclist, apparently, was close to the tracks when he was struck by the tram.

Fortunately, a nearby ambulance was available. Paramedics initiated life-saving measures and transported the gravely hurt individual to the hospital. As of now, the cyclist's identity remains undisclosed by the authorities. The authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation to uncover the precise reason behind the accident.

The cyclist's condition worsened due to the accident, requiring immediate medical attention. The investigation aims to determine if the tram conductor or the bicyclist might have contributed to the unfortunate incident.
