After some damage to the train tracks between Hannover and Hamburg, Deutsche Bahn (DB) long-distance services are still facing delays. The delay is around 20 minutes, a representative shared on Sunday. Trains that have stops along the route can move through the affected sector at 40 km/h, while trains that don't stop are being taken through a detour via Rotenburg. The repair work for the track infrastructure, including the ballast and rails, is still ongoing, the spokesperson informed. It's suggested that it was heavy rain on Friday that caused the damage to the track bed between Eschede and Unterlüß (Celle district). The completion date for the repairs was initially uncertain, as per the railway. The NDR had previously reported this news.
