Railway transportation encounters disruptions - Train services suspended between Würzburg and Kitzingen due to ongoing infrastructure development.

Commencing August 25th, starting at 5:00 AM, and lasting till August 27th, 5:00 AM, there will be a halt in train services between Würzburg and Kitzingen. This pause is due to the railway undertaking repairs on the tracks, which were badly affected by the powerful June storms. The catastrophic impact included numerous landslides and slippages of embankments, as per railway communiqués.

During this period, long-distance trains will be diverted via Ansbach. On the other hand, regional trains will not be functional between Würzburg main station and Kitzingen. The railway has implemented alternative transportation options, yet some disruptions or cancellations might still arise.

The railway repairs on the tracks could potentially delay some construction projects in the nearby areas. Despite the train halt, local construction companies might still need to adhere to their project schedules, requiring alternative transportation means.
