Train hits car on level crossing
A regional train has hit a car on a level crossing in Dietersheim in central Franconia (district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim). According to the police on Saturday, the driver apparently crossed the unrestricted level crossing on Friday evening without looking. According to the report, the train hit the rear of the car. Two occupants were slightly injured in the accident. A third person was uninjured.
Traffic in central France was disrupted after the incident, as authorities had to divert trains following the accident on the level crossing in Dietersheim. Despite the increased traffic due to the diversion, there were no reported traffic accidents in the area surrounding Central France.
