The original vote among train drivers in Frankfurt on the Main, facilitated by the GDL, resulted in a call for strikes due to the collective bargaining conflict with Deutsche Bahn over working hours. Known for being one of the most influential unions in the German railroad industry, the GDL's strike threat gives Deutsche Bahn significant challenges to address.
