Commuter traffic - Train cancellations and delays on the Berlin S-Bahn

Passengers of the Berlin S-Bahn must adjust to restrictions during peak hours. There are issues on several central lines, as the company announced.

At the city railway, a defective train blocked the track at Hauptbahnhof. The train traffic between the stations Friedrichsstraße and Zoologischer Garten was disrupted. The train has been removed meanwhile. However, the S-Bahn still expects delays and cancellations on lines S3, S5, S7, and S9.

The S1 also runs limited services in the morning. A signal in Wannsee needs repairing. The line therefore operates only between Frohnau and Zehlendorf at a 10-minute interval.

Commuters experiencing traffic in Berlin might face delays due to the restriction on several S-Bahn lines. The train failure at Hauptbahnhof disrupted traffic between Friedrichsstraße and Zoologischer Garten, leading to cancellations on lines S3, S5, S7, and S9. Even the limited S1 service in the morning is affected by a defective signal in Wannsee, causing delays and limited operations between Frohnau and Zehlendorf.
