Vehicle movement - Tragic road collision near Ku'damm claims 18-year-old's life.

In a gruesome incident, a severe accident led to the rescue of two injured individuals with life-threatening burns by the fire department. One person managed to escape, but sustained serious injuries from the burning car. The injured parties were taken to specialized hospitals, unable to be questioned by the police as of now.

As per preliminary investigations, no other vehicle was involved in the accident. The police referred to it as a "solo race", suggesting the car was driven at an excessively high speed. The crash site is near the centre of Berlin's inner city, by the high-end department store KaDeWe and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. This area has a history of partnership with illegal car races, and a notable case in February 2016 made headlines. A bystander was killed during an unrelated car race at the time, with one driver being sentenced for murder and the other for attempted murder.
