Upper Franconia Police Report on Ongoing Investigation - Tragic road collision claims life of youngster
Tragic car accident in Schwandorf's Upper Palatinate district leaves a young soul gone, while five others fight for their lives. On a fateful Monday evening, a 31-year-old motorist apparently lost grip of his vehicle on the S2151 road, near Sonnenried's Schwarzenfeld township. His car smashed head-on into another vehicle, carrying an adult woman, three minors, and a teenager. The unfortunate eight-year-old passenger passed away at the accident site. Emergency responders rushed the other injured parties to hospitals via helicopter, all of whom sustained severe injuries. As of now, the reason behind the crash remains undetermined.
