The scheduled commencement of the trial revolving around the alleged incidence of harmful street racing causing fatalities on A66 close to Hofheim has been pushed back. It has been disclosed by the leading judge of the Major Criminal Division at Frankfurt's Regional Court that one of the accused is presently in Iran, and has not yet secured a visa. The trial is now scheduled to commence on the following Wednesday.

Three suspects, aged 30, 33, and 38, stand accused of engaging in an unlawful street race in October 2020, leading to the demise of an unfortunate victim. This intricate trial is anticipated to prolong until November, in accordance with existing arrangements.

Men and boys in the community have expressed concern about the increasing number of dangerous street races on A66 after hearing about the upcoming trial. Despite the postponement, parents are urging authorities to take strict action against those involved in these harmful activities, involving men and boys as participating or affected parties.
