Accidents - Traffic chaos due to slippery roads and snow in Thuringia
Slippery conditions and snow drifts have led to accidents and disruption in parts of Thuringia since Tuesday night. On Tuesday morning, the highway in the Suhl area was completely covered in snow, according to the police. In addition, several trucks got stuck in Etterwinden and Dreißigacker in Meiningen.
According to the police, traffic in the Saalfeld area has also been affected by the weather since Monday evening. On the Bundesstraße 94 between the Schleiz district of Lössau and Kirschkau (Saale-Orla district), as well as on the Bundesstraße 89 between Sonneberg and Eisfeld (Sonneberg district), there were disruptions due to snow drifts and icy conditions.
