A demonstration with tractors has been registered for Monday morning in Leipzig city center. Massive traffic restrictions are expected, according to the police in the morning. According to the announcement, 300 tractors and trucks are expected.

The participants want to meet at 8 a.m. at the Park and Ride Neue Messe and drive from there towards the inner city ring road at around 9 a.m.. Several laps of the ring are planned there. The demonstration will end at 11 a.m. at the Völkerschlachtdenkmal. According to the police, there will be no full closure of the route. Accordingly, the right-hand side of the Ring will be used for the demonstration. Arrivals from outside Leipzig are also expected, according to the police spokesperson.

The demonstration is taking place under the slogan "Traffic lights force us to stand still - we will stop at red lights!". The background to the protest is the planned abolition of tax concessions by the federal government.
